Massage has been around for as long as humans have. It is such a simple form of healing touch, massage can promote healthy blood and lymphtic flow, as well as assist in overall preventative health.
At Silk Tree Chinese Medicine we employ a range of therapies both within and outside of the Chinese Medicine framework - we do whatever it takes to address what ails you!
Massage - therapeutic, deep-tissue, relaxation, tuina (Chinese).
Cupping - glass cups are suctioned onto parts of the body (typically the back) to draw out stagnations in the muscle and surrounding structures. Cupping is a great therapy for kids too!
Gua Sha - also known as scraping, this is a traditional Chinese therapy which uses a ceramic/jade implement to bring light bruising to the skin, releasing stagnation in a similar way to cupping.
